Fears are growing for the safety of a 27-year-old man who was last seen near a lake.
John Shalies was out with friends last night, enjoying a drink at the Tawny Owl Pub in Taw Hill, near Swindon, but failed to return home.
Relaives say his disappearance is "totally out of character".
Officers in Wiltshire confirm they are investigating the incident and are conducting searches in the Moulden lake area - where Mr Shailes was last seen at 8pm yesterday.
Inspector Paul Hawkins says anyone with information should contact Wiltshire Police.
He said: "We are very concerned for John's welfare and are conducting searches in the area of Moulden lake.
"It is important that anyone who has seen John since 8:00 pm yesterday evening contacts us urgently."
