A witness appeal has been issued after a man was reported to have flagged down a car on a country road near Dover, grabbed the woman driver’s hair and pushed her head into the steering wheel.
The young Dover woman was driving on Abbey Road when the incident happened at about 4pm on Thursday 8 August. The woman banged her head and lip but did not need hospital treatment.
Police officers searched nearby woodland with a police dog and a helicopter was also called in to assist, but the man was not traced. He is described as white, medium-build, with grey hair and a beard. He had glasses and was wearing a dark-coloured jumper.
