Hampshire police can confirm that the vehicle that fatally hit the motorcyclist on the M27 this morning was a skip lorry vehicle.
The initial information from witnesses said it was a lorry that hit the biker.
However information now suggests the vehicle was a high-sided skip lorry but the company and colour has not been confirmed.
The vehicle continued driving after the crash and so investigations are underway to find the driver.
The M27 westbound between junctions seven and five is likely to remain closed until at least 1pm while we continue to investigate and recover the scene.
