An elderly couple from Gosport have lost hundreds of pounds in cash after a distraction burglary.
A man went to an address in Anns Hill Road asking if the residents had anything to sell.
He talked his way into the couple's home sometime between 10.30am and 11.30am on Tuesday 20th August.
After the man left, it was discovered that jewellery and up to £300 was missing.
Investigating officer PC Heather Tack said: “This is a despicable crime where vulnerable members of the community have been targeted."
“We’re appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Anns Hill Road on Tuesday morning. Have you had any cold callers? Do you have the details of anyone who has called at your address asking to buy gold or jewellery?”
