Coroner rules cup of tea did not contribute to death

A coroner has ruled that a spilled cup of tea did not contribute to the death of a "gravely ill" elderly woman. Margaret Young was a resident at Beechcroft Manor Nursing Home in Gosport. An inquest heard her family found it difficult to accept the circumstances of her death.

A coroner is to record her verdict in the inquest of a 73-year-old woman who died after she was scalded by a spilled cup of tea at a nursing home in Hampshire.
