A man is in an induced coma at Southampton General Hospital after being assaulted on the corner of Above Bar Street in Southampton.
The 38-year-old man is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
The incident happened on Tuesday 27th August at about 7:30pm. The victim was part of a group when a man and woman approached them, and the man punched him in the back of the head.
The victim fell to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement. The man who threw the punch walked off along New Road, towards the Civic Centre.
