Police can confirm a body has been recovered during a search of a quarry in Kingsley. Police received a call that a 22-year-old man had fallen into the quarry of water at Bakers Farm Nursery in Kingsley, at about 6.15pm on Saturday, August 31.
Alexander Godbold, 22, from Reading Road South, Church Crookham, Fleet had been at the quarry with friends when he lost his footing and fell in to the water.
When Mr Godbold did not resurface emergency services were alerted and a search was carried out by police, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Coastguard.
