A prisoner serving a fifteen year sentence for a brutal assault text his friend whilst in prison to try and get the victim assaulted again before the trial.
Lee Cekic, was on remand at HMP Elmley in Sheerness, awaiting trial for the grievous bodily harm with intent and false imprisonment of Margate man Joe Bath.
But whilst in prison, Cekic sent a number of text messages to a friend, Lewis Pettitt, trying to get Mr Bath assaulted again before the trial.
A search warrant at an Essex address discovered a phone belonging to Mr Pettitt where the text messages were uncovered. The mobile the texts were sent from was found in Cekic's cell.
Yesterday, Cekic was sentenced to three years in prison, to run concurrently to the 15 years he is already serving.
