Kent Police are applying to Magistrates for more time to question four men in connection with the murder of a woman in Chatham.
This morning (Monday 16th September) officers will be attending Chatham Magistrates Court and requesting a warrant for further detention to give police extra time.
A murder investigation was launched following the discovery of a woman's body in the basement of a shop in Luton Road, Chatham on Saturday 14th September.
The body has not been identified but police are linking the murder to missing 69-year-old Harijit Chaggar, who was last seen on Monday 2nd September.
Those arrested on suspicion of murder are a 38-year-old and 44year-old from Maidstone, a 28-year-old from Gillingham and a 27-year-old from Chatham.
