A driver has been found guilty of trying to cover up a crash where he killed a 16-year-old girl.
Brian Hampton had already admitted causing death by careless driving after he knocked down Jade Clark, who was riding her moped on A31 at Ringwood.
However, he denied a charge of perverting the course of justice.
This related to claims that the 58-year-old year, who is from Kent, had tried to cover up his crime by getting his car repaired.
He claimed the damage was caused when he had hit a deer. A jury at Bournemouth Crown Court convicted him a short time ago.
