Hundreds of thousands 'blighted' by expanding airport

Airport campaigners hoping the Governments Aviation Commission would rule out expanding Gatwick, Heathrow or building a new airport in the Thames Estuary have been left disappointed.

Sir Howard Davies has told them at a gathering of campaigners and airport bosses new runways were needed.

Campaigners say this leaves hundreds of thousands of people living around airports blighted.
