A model of a vintage traction engine, which weighs 12kg and is worth £8000, has been taken from a shop in Staplehurst.
The model is of a Burrell Showman's style engine, with the words 'Probyn Amusements Maidstone' written across the top.
It is believed to have been stolen on the 18th September, although the owners of the Maxitrak store in Lodge Road did not realise it was missing from the display until the 20th September.
CCTV shows a man enter the shop and take the engine.
DC Lynne Mercer from Maidstone Police Station said, "The offender is described as a white male, who was wearing a navy blue hoodie, jeans and white trainers.
"No car was seen at the time, but given the size and weight of the model, it is suspected he would have left the area in a vehicle."
Anyone with information should contact DC Lynne Mercer on 01622 604271 quoting crime number YY/18855/13.
