Gillingham FC has named a new caretaker manager following the sacking of Martin Allen, the man who won them their first league title in 49 years.
Although the Gills achieved promotion last season they have struggled in League One, losing eight of the past eleven games.
Chairman Paul Scally said he was grateful for Martin Allen's work - but that Peter Taylor would now take the club forward in his place. Derek Johnson reports.
