Twenty-five thousand runners will be pounding the streets of Portsmouth and Southsea today for the Great South Run. Big crowds are expected to cheer on those taking part.
The 10 mile route takes in the sites of Portsmouth Cathedral, the Spinnaker Tower and HMS Victory.
The final stretch along the sea front has given thousands of people the opportunity to get a personal best time for many years. Every year the event attracts athletes, celebrities and runners raising money for good causes, with over £30 million having been raised for charity over the years.
