Swanage RNLI has released footage of the attempted rescue of a woman trapped in a sea cave. Rescue teams were called to Tilly Whim Caves near Swanage yesterday afternoon, including the RNLI and a Coastguard helicopter. But it soon became clear that any rescue had to be made from the cliffs.
With the light failing and high tide approaching, the St Albans' Cliff Technician entered the cave through the blow hole. But after entering, it became apparent that the woman had sadly succumbed. There is no sound on this video.
