Teen attacker's sentence increased to 9 years

A teenager who left a man brain-damaged in a vicious attack has had his jail sentence increased to nine years. 51-year-old Andrew Toseland was kicked and repeatedly stamped on when he asked a group to be quiet outside his mother's flat in Gosport in August last year.

19-year-old Samuel Armstrong was originally jailed for 5 years - but today a judge said it was a "wicked offence" and the sentence was "too soft". Kerry Swain reports.
