The Court of Appeal has lengthened the jail term of 19-year-old Samuel Armstrong for attacking Andrew Toseland, 49, outside his flat in Gosport last year.
The local MP Caroline Dinenage had called on the Attorney General to review the sentence given to teenager because she believed it was too lenient.The term was originally just over five years. Mr Toseland was left with brain damage after the assault in August 2012.
