A decision is due to be made today on whether four care homes in Hampshire will remain open. Up to 100 elderly people - some with dementia -will need to be re-homed if the sites in Petersfield, Basingstoke, Romsey and Lyndhurst are shut.
The county council says it would cost too much to bring them up to modern standards.
