A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder, in connection with missing 17-year-old Jayden Parkinson, has been further detained for questioning. Jayden recently became homeless and was staying at a hostel in Oxford. She was last seen at Didcot rail station on December 3.
Thames Valley Police officers were granted a further 12 hours until 4.30pm today to question the 22-year-old man from Reading after a Superintendent authorised an extension of his custody time limit. A 17-year-old boy, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.
