A club in Poole, that the victim of a fatal hit and run was walking to when he died, has offered a £1000 reward for information to find the driver.
The renewed appeal comes after 69-year-old Chris Colegate was hit by a vehicle on Friday 13th December in Poole who failed to stop at the scene.
Mr Colegate was on his way to the Oakdale Conservative Club when he was hit and they have offered the reward money in the hope it will lead to the arrest of an offender.
Like the rest of the local community we are really saddened by this incident. Chris Colegate was a regular at the club and had many friends here. We all miss him dearly. We urge anyone with any information about this tragic collision to do the right thing and contact Dorset Police. No matter how small, your information could be the missing piece of the jigsaw.”
