A 16-year-old boy had glass enter his eye following a hit and run in Brighton where his taxi collided with a car that sped off.
The boy was a front-seat passenger in the taxi which crashed shortly after 11pm on Christmas Day at the junction of Church Road and Sackville Road in Hove.
The blue Skoda taxi was travelling east to west along Church Road when a silver Vauxhall Insignia saloon travelling south to north along Sackville Road collided with its nearside.
The taxi went out of control and mounted the pavement.
The teenager from Southwick suffered head injuries, including glass fragments entering his eye and the driver suffered whiplash- both were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact 101 or sightings of a badly damaged silver Vauxhall Insignia in the Hove area.
