Man remanded in custody over manslaughter of teenagers

A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of two teenage girls in Gosport.

14-year-old Jasmine Allsop, and Olivia Lewry who was 16, died after they were hit by a car on Ann's Hill Road on 3rd November.

Samuel Etherington, from Stoners Close, Gosport, made a short appearance at Winchester Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

No plea was entered by the 20-year-old defendant and the case was adjourned for a further hearing on January 30th.
