Police call for caution near flood areas after fatality

The incident happened at Osney Lock in Oxford

A man using a mobility scooter has died after falling into the River Thames, at Osney Lock, in Oxford.

The 47 year old was pulled from the water, but was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are warning the public to be extra careful along waterways, during the current wet weather. It happened on saturday 4th January.

The man's next-of-kin have been informed
