A police officer was injured when his patrol car was involved in a collision on the M4 in Wiltshire.
The incident took place shortly before 10.45am yesterday close to the Dauntsey bridge on the M4 and involved a police vehicle and an Audi A3.
The police vehicle was stationary on the hard shoulder when the collision occurred.
A police officer taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon via land ambulance with shoulder injuries.
The male driver of the Audi and a child passenger were also taken to hospital as a precaution. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
