A Margate man who was caught in possession of drugs in a bar in Maidstone has been jailed for three years and nine months.
Simon Cursons, 31, of Gordon Road in Margate, was seen by door staff at The Source Bar in the Roseyard in Maidstone in March.
He was detained until officers arrived and 11 wraps of MDMA (ecstacy) powder and approximately £100 in cash were seized.
Cursons was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. The drugs were estimated to be worth between £240 and £480.
Detective Constable Martin Barrow from Kent Police said: ‘This will hopefully act as a deterrent to people who attempt to sell drugs in Maidstone, or anywhere else. Drugs ruin lives; not just the lives those that take them but their families and friends too who have to deal with the consequences.’
