A 10-year-old girl who was left severely disabled after two hospitals in Oxford and Wiltshire made errors at the time of her birth has been awarded a £5 million settlement.

Oxford hospital statement after £5 million settlement

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust have given this statement in response to 10-year-old Louisa Ravouvou receiving a £5 million settlement.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust confirms that terms of settlement were approved by the High Court in London today.

The Trust offered its sincere apologies for the identified failures in care leading up to Ms Ravouvou’s delivery in 2003.

The Trust has made an admission of liability and has agreed a settlement with Ms Ravouvou and her family which we hope will provide assistance for her future and assist Ms Ravouvou in reaching her full potential.
