A Weymouth man who assaulted a police officer has been sentenced to 10 months in prison.
Thomas Harvey Ashe, who is 21-years-old, head butted a police officer in St Mary Street in Weymouth back in September 2013.
He was also acted aggressively towards another officer.
He pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm at Dorchester Crown Court and received his sentence of 10 months.
Detective Constable Declan Cummings said, "This sentence sends out a clear message that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated."
