Police investigating an attempted robbery in Hampshire have released this efit of a man they want to speak to. A 42-year-old man was walking along Thorneycroft Lane in Basingstoke when he was approached by a man who sprayed him in the face with what's thought to be de-icer.
The victim was also punched in the face, but his attacker got away empty handed.Detective Constable Drew Wright said: "This offence was committed in broad daylight on a member of the public simply going about his business.
The possible use of de-icer spray in this incident is particularly unusual. Do you know anything about this incident? The pathway is a busy route for people travelling in and out of the South Ham area so someone may have seen this incident or the attacker running away."
