Some communities prepare for more flooding

The Met Office have said that Hampshire and Dorset remain at medium risk of flooding as more rain is set to hit today.

Around 100 homes in Hambeldon in Hampshire yesterday were were being pumped after flood water began to rise.

The village also suffered a power cut due to a fallen tree, which also stopped some pumps from working.

Flooding continues for some parts of the south

What's been described as a ‘mini tornado’ hit parts of Hampshire and Sussex this weekend. Trees blocked roads while homeowners reported damaged fences and sheds. More stormy weather is set to hit parts of the south today.
