8 people have been rescued from a fire at a block of flats in Chatham. Firefighters were called to a fire in a six-storey building used as private flats.
Crews rescued one person with a height vehicle, two other people were also rescued and a further five were led to safety. All people were quickly accounted for and there are no reported injuries.
Crews remain on the scene identifying hot spots with thermal imaging cameras and cutting away material to allow the fire to be completely extinguished.The cause of the fire is currently unknown but will be investigated.
