Man sentenced to life in prison for murder

Ivan Svatkovskij, aged 31, of Appledore, Bracknell, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted of murder.

Earlier today, he was unanimously convicted of murder by a jury at Reading Crown Court.

At 10.35pm on Friday 20th September, emergency crews were called to reports that a man had been stabbed in Appledore, Great Hollands, Bracknell.

The victim, 21-year-old Latvian national Aleksandrs Vasilievs, died from a single stab wound to the heart.

Svatkovskij was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve a minimum of 15 years.
