BTP officers were called to Crampmoor Lane crossing, Romsey, on Tuesday, 18 February following a report that a person had been hit by a train. BTP and Hampshire Constabulary officers attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 10.18am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious. Medics from South Central Ambulance Service also attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the person and inform their family. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
