A man is recovering in hospital after his digger plunged into the sea at Portland. It's thought he was operating the vehicle when it slipped off the sea wall.
Rescuers say he was lucky not to have been crushed to death. He was airlifted to safety before being transferred to Southampton General Hospital. His injuries, which include a broken leg, are said to be "significant" but not life threatening.
