Police are investigating a serious road collision on the Isle of Wight which left a 78-year-old man with life threatening neck injuries.
A Ford Transit van was travelling along Stroud Road, towards the junction with Camp Road, in Freshwater when it turned right and collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian is currently in hospital being treated for his neck injuries.
The van driver, a 27-year-old man from Totland, was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and was bailed until May.
