Sue McLeod, the principal of MidKent college has been recognised by the Queen at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace. It's for the College's innovative work in training soldiers.
"It was an amazing experience and I was so proud to accept the award on behalf of all our fantastic members of staff who have worked tirelessly to transform the delivery of training for the Royal Engineers," said Ms McLeod.
"We were accompanied by five young soldiers who attracted a lot of attention and spoke with the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal at length. It was a very special day and is fantastic recognition of the continued efforts to make best use of the unique skills taught at the RSME."
