Dangers of driving in fog

The South woke up to thick fog again this morning - causing delays on the roads, on ferries and at our airports.

But despite the warning of visibility of just 80 metres - drivers were seen speeding and tailgating. Some didn't even bother to put their lights on.

Road Traffic Police were out on some of our busiest routes - and say many drivers were lucky not to crash - or cause a mass pile-up. Andrew Pate spoke to Sgt Rob Heard, the Road Traffic sergeant for Hampshire Police.
