Inquest starts into death of swimmer

The family of a woman from Buckinghamshire who drowned after becoming trapped in a cave have branded the inquest into her death as 'a charade'. Charlotte Furness-Smith - known as Buffy - was an army reservist and teacher from Amersham.

She was taking part in an adventure sport near Swanage in Dorset last November. Her body has never been found. Her family say rescuers delayed getting a rope down into the cave to save her. From Bournemouth Coroner's Court, Richard Slee sent this
