Donations continue to flood in for Christian Smith who was taking part in a 24-hour charity bike ride when he was killed on Saturday morning. A woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on bail.

Cyclist killed during charity bike ride raised £40,000

A cyclist who was killed while on a charity bike ride in Kent has raised nearly £40,000.

Father of three Christian Smith was in a collision with a car on Saturday morning.

His family say he was raising money for the charity MIND.

The 18-year-old woman driving the car, who was arrested, has been bailed while investigations continue.

Paul Farmer, chief executive of MIND said the charity are "devastated" to hear the news and thanks the public for their continued donations.
