The Oxford Boat Race crew, who beat rivals Cambridge in the annual race on the Thames at the weekend, had bags stolen from their minibus.
A rucksack and red cotton bag, which had seven of the crews' belongings in it, was taken from the minibus.
The rucksack was found later in a toilet but a purse containing £40 had been taken from it.
