17-year-old boy assaulted in Christchurch

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted in Christchurch and one man has been arrested.

The alleged assault happened on Sunday 6th April at 7pm along Burton Road when the boy was approached by a white man in his twenties.

The man then punched, kicked and stamped on him and after the incident he walked off in the direction of The Grange School.

The boy sustained bruising and was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The suspect is described as 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short blond hair and stubble.

A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail.

This incident appears to have been unprovoked. To help with my investigation, I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault in Burton Road to come forward."
