Thames Valley Police has arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder in Reading. A 21-year-old man from Burghfield Common, Reading, was arrested at the weekend and is currently in custody.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was assaulted in Saxby Close just after midnight on Sunday. He sustained stab wounds and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A second man, from Theale, Reading, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed.
