Thames Water have said that the damage to a collapsed sewer on the Bath Road in Reading is worse than expected. The route on the A4 had been due to reopen today after being closed at the beginning of May for repairs.
A twenty metre stretch underground has been damaged. The route has been shut for almost four weeks. The firm said works should be complete by Monday 2nd June 2014. A diversion is in place between Liebenrood Road and Tilehurst Road.
