The annual Dickens Festival has taken over the streets in Medway. Street theatre, music and dancing are just some of the things taking place to celebrate Medway's associations with Charles Dickens.
The author is believe to have based many of his characters and settings for his novels from the time he spent living in the area. The event has been held every year since 1978.
