This is the moment a brave soldier leapt into action and ran across the path of an oncoming train to rescue a woman who had fallen onto the tracks.
The dramatic rescue happened at Strood station in Kent.
Billy McPhail, 26, was standing on the opposite platform when he saw the pensioner run for a train and slip before stumbling down close to the live rail.
The paratrooper jumped down to rescue and ran 100 yards to the other side - narrowly missing a passing service.
Fellow commuters can be seen frantically trying to raise the alarm to the driver of the oncoming train.
The woman is now recovering from a broken ankle.
