Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was assaulted by a man at Riverside Park in Southampton. It happened between 5.30 and 6pm on Tuesday June 3rd.
The 10-year-old boy was playing with friends and was shouting to them when a cyclist rode by. The youngster has told police that the cyclist seemed to think he was shouting at him.
The man approached the boy, grabbed him and pinned him to the ground. He shouted at the boy and then cycled off.
The boy suffered bruising in the assault.
