The mother of a teenager from Kent killed in a biking accident in a quarry is warning others of the dangers. Lisa Skone is backing a campaign launched in Sevenoaks today to make children aware of how dangerous quarries can be.
Last year six men drowned in them over a two month period during the warm weather. While another two died in disused quarries in May and June of this year. Quarry operators are asking people not to ignore warning signs and fencing.
