A customer from East Sussex was left stunned when he discovered a note through his door telling him his parcel was " stuck on a roof".
Benjamin Ward tweeted the courier firm Hermes saying, ‘Thanks @myhermes for delivering my parcel so it’s 20ft high stuck to the roof! Great care taken!’
The tweet went viral and was reposted 3,000 times.
Hermes has apologised and said it sent the courier to get the parcel from the gutter.
