Standards at hospitals in East Kent have been heavily criticised by health inspectors today. Two of the three hospitals involved have been branded 'inadequate' - the worst possible rating, and now face being placed in special measures.
The Care Quality Commission says it has serious concerns about failures in management and medical care at the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, and the Kent & Canterbury Hospital, and in addition has concerns about the William Harvey in Ashford.
But some patients, health workers - and one of the area's MPs - have accused the inspectors of being too quick to criticised and damaging staff morale. Watch John Ryall's report.
