The best selling author Sir Terry Pratchett, who lived in Salisbury, has died at the age off 66 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. During his life he sold millions of books - his best known series was Discworld. But in 2007 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
He died at his home in Broad Chalke today, with his cat sleeping on the bed, and his family around him. A tweet from his twitter account afterwards simply read - 'The End'
His publishing company said "the World has lost one of its brightest, sharpest minds". Penny Silvester has covered stories about Sir Terry many times and has this report:
