Hopes for future of historic mansion damaged by fire

The National Trust have said they hope to rebuild Clandon Park stately home near Guilford, which was badly damaged in a devastating fire earlier this year.

Fire-ravaged Clandon Park to be rebuilt 'in some form'

The National Trust has announced that Clandon Park will not be knocked down.

Many feared the building was beyond repair after a huge fire gutted the inside in April.

It's been revealed that the mansion will be rebuilt but details of how it will be restored and what form the building will take, have yet to be be agreed.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
